Community Walk: A Quiet Place
For our first Community Walk, Ms Elder read us the book, A Quiet Place by Douglas Wood. It talks about having a place where you can sit, calm down and take a break. A Quiet Place is a spot to spend time in your head with your imagination.
Today, on our Community Walk, we split into three groups and each group sat in a place along the Elbow River pathway. Ms Elder asked us to listen for 30 seconds and record what we heard, then do the same for 1 minute and 5 minutes. This was called Layered Listening.
