Memory from the Break

Today we spent some time sharing memories from the Winter Break in a creative way.

Students were asked to use loose parts to create a representation of their memory. They could then tell their new group members about that experience using their models. We had a lot of fun exploring different materials and challenging ourselves to keep to a short time line for creating.

"I liked how you could make a tiny, little memory, then after you destroyed it." ~ Sophia
"I liked how you only got five minutes to do it. It kind of rushed you to make it so you had to think fast." ~ Isla
"I liked how you didn't use that many parts. Ms Elder didn't put that many things on the table. It made it faster." ~ Bianca
"I liked how you had to figure out just one memory to put in your picture and what materials would fit into that. It's harder to think what material to use." ~ Owen
"I think we did this activity to show other classmates what we did on the winter break." ~ D
"I think we did this to be creative and to tell your group your memory." ~ Priya
